LAS VEGAS (January 13, 2022) The Nobu Hotel Caesars Palace, the luxury boutique hotel in the iconic Las Vegas resort, is launching 182 redesigned rooms and suites after completing a multi-million dollar refresh. The world’s first Nobu hotel now offers a more modern residential feel with a design inspired by kintsugithe Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold epoxy.

Highlights of the new rooms and suites redesigned by award-winning global architecture and design firm Rockwell Group include:

  • A custom sofa in a dozen different patchwork upholstery fabrics, from painterly-style prints to muted textured graphics

  • A quartzite coffee table with a gold base and crackle top kintsugi effect, with additional lighting

  • New custom rug with aubergine hues, as well as abstract and painterly style flowers – inspired by 19and Japanese artist of the century Tsubaki Chinzan – covered in gold kintsugi veining

  • A desk or a dining table, which is connected to the chest of drawers by a quartz sideboard

  • The renovated Hakone, Sake, Nobu Penthouse and Nobu Villa suites also feature new furniture, carpets and flooring.

Additionally, the redesigned guest hallways feature a custom carpet with undulating shapes, suggesting a pond of koi fish that cluster at each bedroom doorway and patterns inspired by suminagashi – the art of marbling on Japanese paper. The new carpet in the lobby features monumental slabs of marble and agate surrounded by golden veins, with accents of gray, rust and blue.

This is the first of several projects to be completed as Caesars Entertainment, Inc. expands its longstanding partnership with Nobu Hospitality – the global lifestyle brand founded by Nobu Matsuhisa, Robert De Niro and Meir Teper. A new Nobu restaurant is set to open in Paris Las Vegas in early 2022, followed by the planned opening of the Nobu Hotel Atlantic City and restaurant at Caesars Atlantic City this summer. In 2024, the Nobu Hotel New Orleans and restaurant are scheduled to open within Caesars New Orleans, which is currently under construction.
